BRIGHT AND SUNNY...

Hard to believe this is on the way?!

.. Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
late Wednesday night...

A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
late Wednesday night.

Hazardous weather...

* a brief period of snow... transitioning to a wintry mix of
   precipitation Wednesday morning.

* Snow and ice accumulation: 2 to 3 inches of snow... mixed with
   sleet and freezing rain. Ice accumulations of a tenth to a
   quarter of an inch are possible.

* Timing: snow will quickly develop tonight... changing to sleet
   or freezing rain by mid morning Wednesday. Precipitation will
   change to plain rain by midday Wednesday as temperatures warm
   above freezing.

Waxing and Waning...

Seems that is what winter has done this season -

trees are breaking bud and its just beginning March -

though temped to take a peak inside the buds .... preview spring green

I just walk away shaking my head...

doesn't mother nature know she played a cruel trick...

too soon buds mean sour sap... no liquid gold for pancakes

Peaking up thru the snow there are green sprigs...

Daffodils wondering really? so soon?

I quickly grab a coat... don boots hats and gloves

only to discover I am poorly underdressed as yesterdays warm winds

are bitter cold and take my breath

a quick hike up the hill with frisbee in hand

the whisking wind making a long trek for Blaze...

as he bounds thru the fresh snow leaping half turning SNAG

we head home - ears aching... shivering

Today when I head out...

There will be shoes on my feet... snowshoes that is

and my snowsuit....

Better to be over dressed

than core cold

TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT!!!

The Michigan DNR is trying to take away our options to farm heritage pigs??!!!

THIS IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS - - SERIOUSLY!!!

Did they do the research...

EVERY PIG

- even non heritage breeds if not taken care of and allowed to run wild ...

will go back to its ferrel state...

In actuality that is true of most animals - after all they are animals!!

GET REAL - GOVT - stop trying to take away our healthier options -

if you are worried about wild pigs -

worry about the people

who don't take care of their animals or

keep proper fences etc!!!

Don't punish all the people!!

Our GOV'T needs to STEP AWAY from our NATURAL HEALTHY food sources and options! -

NOTE THIS IS INTERESTING;

"The problem is their fences are up to code for deer and elk, but you can't keep pigs fenced in. They'll tear up the fence or go under them. And there really aren't any regulations for these facilities to have enhanced fencing," said Kristine Brown, a wildlife biologist with the state Department of Natural Resources.

THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE -
If you have proper ELECTRIC fence installed you can
keep pigs fenced in!!!!!
