Suns Decieving

 Brrrrrrrrrrr..... 

Wow did I get a surprise today when I went out to go hiking - 

The sun was shining and the thermometer said 35 degs

but the wind was raw and I was not dressed for it...

so our hike was a bit shorter than usual 

 Afternoon chores make for some 

HAPPY Cows and Goats

also warm sunny days 

cause them to frolic about

tried to get a video but just 

as soon as I tried to video them they stopped 

We got about 5" of new snow over the weekend 

but the sun is getting hotter and it doesn't last long

Lil man Seaton is 3 weeks and 3 days old - 

Lil Man is 3 weeks old already -

Little Man is 3 weeks old

Those eyes are saying...
"I miss you Nana"   sniffle

So THANKFUL for precious time with our 

girl and her little family - 

Counting the days till we can be with them again!!

Trying not to think of Tuesday when our kids head south again - 

As we are enjoying our time with them and our little man to the fullest - 

Its worth all the sleep deprived nights and rocking chair days - 

A grandbaby is so different from your own - 

You don't have all the new parent stress's...  

Stress's that you as new parents don't even know you are going thru 

until the day you get to be Grandparents and you can see it first hand- 

We are so very grateful that with them- living so far away that we have

had almost a month with them  - 

Its amazing the changes we see every day....

Each morning after he eats Krystal brings him into our room 

and we take care of him while she goes back to bed - 

This was our reward this morning

Cleaning and scrubbing

 can wait till tomorrow... 

For babies grow up, 

we've learned to our sorrow... 

So quiet down cobwebs... 

dust go to sleep...

I'm rocking my baby 

and babies don't keep

A Happy Valentines Day it is...

After having contractions steady since
 8 Pm on Tuesday Night

and active labor since 3 am this morning

Seaton Bruce Trotter 

made his arrival at

2:26 pm

today

He weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz and is 19" long

All are doing well 

And this Grampy and Nana couldn't be happier

long expected but not unloved…

soon the gates to your haven

where you will see her loving eyes…

see her hair…mussed in childbirth…

remember…you’re not seeing her at her best…

you’ll feel her cheeks…wet with tears…against your own

feel her skin that is warm…yet trembles…

feel her touching you

…caressing softly…

counting your fingers and toes…

she’ll proudly note the rolls of flesh on your limbs

and the beauty of your tiny frame

as you writhe and rail against the cold…

she’ll hear your cries as you breath your first breath

and watch your flesh turn from bluish tan

to soft pink…

your healthy blush

will bring a sigh of relief

to all who witness your birth…

your will be held

as you’ve been held…

loved as you’ve been loved…

see the world of brightness and color

for the very first time

hear the voice of the one who has sung to you in the night…

as she lays you on her chest…

as you take her nipples in your lips and drink…

you will feel the drumbeat of the heart

that has resounded in the womb…

the heart that has loved you from the the very beginning…

and you will sleep

cocooned in love…

No BABY news BUT it is

SNOWING DOWN HERE - -   YUCK

We love it at home 

but we don't miss it while we are here!!
