Fritz Camp & Farm Days

You never know when you are a farmer
what a simple bread delivery trip will turn into -
Yesterday after lunch we grabbed Tom -
a load of day old organic bread
and headed down to our friends
and farm partners
Quartz Family Farm
in Mesick -
We visited with some of our
cow family and met
the new pig family -

Pilgrim... still king

The great Bohemian Pickle

After our farm tour we headed to Toms Buddies Cabins in Lake Ann

There is quite a story behind this pond...

All I can say is be kind to everyone you meet...

you just never know how they will show their appreciation!

This poor froggie did not go a courtin he went fishing... as bait!! IT WORKED!!

Mom says every time my sister catches a fish I have to kiss it??

Multi purpose slide...It works too...
Grandpa John coming to the aid of the fish...
Weight lifting...

"I have brothers, need I say more..."

Fritzs Frolic

This homemade cart was the greatest way to see the back country -

Thanks guys for the awesome day

September So Soon???

Where the pigs were... its amazing what is growing in there,
squash, sunflowers, pumpkins, morning glories -
only planted by nature...
Just one of the many "barnscapes" of Leelanau

We never tire of the "Blue View"
Just one left...

Well the calander still says is August
but we are not convinced
with temps only in the 60s and 70s during the day
and 50's at night it feels more like September!
Makes great weather for riping pears & apples!
Busy busy days here at WestSide Tool
we are loving all the work...
our move however is delayed...
we are hoping to be moved by Oct. 1

Sunny Summer Sunday

No news to report...
Just some random boats we have seen this summer....
(even a couple from the Chicago to Mac race)

Someday ;-)) I would love a boat like this one!!

We are having beautiful summer weather!!

Now if only we had some time to enjoy it -

Busy days here -
no time to work on our Cedar house
but the work is a constant
for our machine shop so no complaints!!
