As the sun rises over the hills,

smoke from the sugar shack 

drifts across the crystal laden snow

the trees warm up, 

 sap begins to flow

Thick bubbles pop in the pans 

then burst with maple scent 

reminding us the 

reward will be sweet 

... long hours well spent -

24" of snow in less than 24 hours - left us and 240,000 people without power

Many in the area are still without power - 

ours was restored yesterday morning after 49 hours -

We are under another 

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

with a guesstimate of 

10 - 20"of snow predicted - 

So we wanted to get the taps in

before we couldn't get to the trees

as next week is suppose to be the perfect weather

COLD NIGHTS and WARM DAYS...

Record Season?!?!

(gotta beat 30 gallons of actual syrup)

Test Run

Due to the fact that LOTS of trees are already 

breaking bud we decided to do a test run to see if the 

sap is sour... 

If its not we are hoping to put the rest of the taps in Saturday Morning
