Difference

Having a difference of opinion from someone does not make either of your right or wrong it just makes you different -  as I sit here mind boggled over a couple of conversations I was forced to keep quiet in I had to look up the meaning of DIVERSITY;

Definition of Diversity
The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect.
It means understanding that each individual is unique,
and recognizing our individual differences.
These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation,socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.  It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

People are so taken up with symbols and what they supposedly stand for or not they have forgotten its not about who's flying what flag or who has what bumper sticker on their car or tattoo on their arm or whatever -
It is simply about making ourselves "YOU" a better person... in doing that we raise better children who then become better adults - its NOT about changing the world it's about changing ourselves - in turn it will change the world -   YOU have to be the change you want to see in the world - you and post all the posts you want, fly all the flags you want but it's not going to change YOU - you have to change you!!
If you CHOOSE to be hurt or offended about a flag that is flying or an opinion that is voicing or what ever REMEMBER you made the choice to be hurt or offended!
